About Sarah
Background
Sarah continues to be passionate about teaching struggling readers the skills they need to be independent readers and writers. She has supported students in the classroom and through private tutoring for 20 years. Her excitement in delivering research-based reading instruction led to training in Orton Gillingham instruction at the Children's Dyslexia Center in Milwaukee, WI. Sarah has continued her education as a graduate student studying the science of reading at Mount Saint Joseph University. She advocates for students with dyslexia and has worked to bring awareness to these children's challenges.
Goals
Sarah's goal is for every student to gain the confidence they need to succeed in the classroom. Being proactive and building the foundation for strong readers and writers is the first step in educational confidence and academic success. These skill sets, developed early, will ensure students stay caught up.
