Sarah continues to be a passionate elementary educator for almost 20 years. Her excitement teaching research-based reading instruction led to training in Orton Gillingham instruction at the Children's Dyslexia Center in Milwaukee, WI. Sarah is an advocate for students with dyslexia and has worked to bring awareness to the challenges these children face.
Sarah's goal is for every student to gain the confidence that they need to feel successful in the classroom. Being proactive and building the foundation for strong readers and writers is the first step in educational confidence, as well as academic success. These skill sets, developed early, will ensure students do not fall behind.
When Sarah is not teaching 2nd grade in a Milwaukee Public School or tutoring area students, find her perusing Milwaukee's awesome local stores or enjoying a local restaurant! She also loves live music, hiking, camping and spending time with her adult son, niece and nephews.
